To continue to provide Taranaki with our own fully equipped EMS/rescue helicopter and ensure the long-term financial security of the Trust.
The Taranaki Rescue Helicopter Trust provides a dedicated resource to the people of Taranaki and many visitors to the region.
The availability of a helicopter allows large areas of the Taranaki district, (and beyond if necessary) to be reached without delay, facilitating rescue operations and ensuring the sick or injured get the right medical attention at the right time.
Pivotal to its continued strategic development and to ensure long-term financial security, the Taranaki Rescue Helicopter Trust, identified the need to purchase a suitably equipped EMS/rescue helicopter. The TRHT sees this as being critical to providing an effective rescue/air ambulance service to the Taranaki region 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Taranaki is a dynamic and diverse area with the region’s new brand defining Taranaki as ‘ like no other’ reflecting this unique quality.
This blend of natural beauty, attractions and activities offers something for everyone, all year round. But when accident or medical emergencies happen, the attractions of the province can become major hurdles for emergency services.
