Welcome to the
Taranaki Rescue Helicopter Trust

Grant Rawlinson (a lot of people call him Axe) is climbing Mt Everest, he has chosen us for his charity this year, and we are so privileged to be part of this. You can read all about him, his story, adventures and his blogs by clicking here. Good luck Grant with your venture to climb Everest.
The Taranaki Rescue Helicopter Trust is a registered charitable trust which formed in 1992.
The Taranaki Community Rescue Helicopter provides a fully dedicated emergency medical service for the people of Taranaki. We perform on average 250 missions a year. With winch capabilites we are able to rescue people on the sea, on the mountain and in the back country of Taranaki. We also provide an inter hospital patient transfer service as required, for the Taranaki Community.
Mission Statement
To enhance the lives of everyone in the region with the provision of a high quality sustainable rescue/air ambulance service.
